[07-23-2026] San Diego County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Fallbrook Parking Lot

A 53-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in Fallbrook, San Diego County, on Thursday morning, July 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Stepping Stone, located at 842 S Main Avenue.

Authorities said the man, who had special needs, was lying in the parking lot when a 23-year-old employee driving into the area struck him. CHP reported that the driver was traveling between 5 and 6 mph at the time of the collision and did not see the victim on the ground.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
