A woman was hospitalized after a serious crash on Magnolia Road in Auburn on Thursday evening, July 16, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. when 27-year-old Tucker D. was driving a black 2002 Audi westbound east of Normandy Lane at a high rate of speed. The vehicle crashed head-on into a tree and caught fire.
The passenger, identified as 63-year-old Michelle D., sustained major injuries and was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
After being medically cleared at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, the driver was arrested and booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of felony DUI.
The investigation remains ongoing.
