A young female pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Vineyard Avenue in Oxnard on Saturday morning, July 18, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 7:49 a.m. at the intersection of Vineyard Avenue and Central Avenue.
Emergency personnel, including the Oxnard Fire Department, found the pedestrian with critical injuries and transported her to a local hospital, where she later died.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Alcohol was not considered a factor in the driver’s case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
