[06-29-2026] Santa Cruz County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on Freedom Blvd. Injures Driver in Watsonville

A driver sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, on Monday morning, July 29, 2026.

According to Watsonville Police, the collision occurred just before 11 a.m. on the 1600 block of Freedom Boulevard.

Authorities said a green Ford Ranger and a white Mazda pickup were both traveling northbound when the Mazda driver attempted a sudden U-turn. The Ford Ranger then collided with the driver’s side of the Mazda.

The driver of the Mazda was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. The Ford driver was not reported to be seriously injured.

The Watsonville Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
