[06-25-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck by SUV in Menifee

A 72-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Menifee on Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2026.

According to the Menifee Police Department, the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Antelope Road and Chambers Avenue. 

Investigators said the pedestrian was crossing Antelope Road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound 2025 Kia Telluride.

Authorities stated that the driver attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to stop in time. The pedestrian was thrown a significant distance and rendered unconscious in the roadway.

The driver remained at the scene, called 911, and cooperated with investigators. Police said there were no signs of impairment, and no arrest was made.

The pedestrian was transported to a regional trauma center and remained in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
