[06-22-2026] El Dorado County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 50 Near Slippery Ford Rd.

A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a vehicle in El Dorado County on Monday morning, June 22, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:19 a.m. on Highway 50 near Slippery Ford Road.

The motorcycle was traveling eastbound when it crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a westbound Lincoln Navigator.

Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist died at the scene. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
