[06-14-2026] San Diego County, CA – Moped Rider Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in La Jolla

A moped rider sustained serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash in La Jolla on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision was reported at around 4:50 p.m. near the intersection of Nautilus Street and La Jolla Boulevard. 

Authorities reported that the rider suffered a broken pelvis during the incident. Neighbors assisted the injured person at the scene before emergency crews arrived. 

The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is handling the investigation, and authorities continue to seek information regarding the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
