[06-10-2026] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Irvine

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Irvine on Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026.

According to the Irvine Police Department, the incident was reported around 8:54 p.m. at the intersection of Alton Parkway and Irvine Center Drive.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was walking northbound in the marked crosswalk on the east side of Irvine Center Drive when they were struck by a westbound vehicle traveling through the intersection.

Emergency personnel from the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority responded and transported the victim to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The vehicle involved is possibly dark-colored and is believed to have front-end damage. The driver has not yet been identified, and authorities are asking the public for assistance in locating the suspect and vehicle.

The victim’s identity has not been released pending family notification. The Irvine Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is actively investigating the collision.
