[06-10-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Indio

An 86-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Indio on Wednesday morning, June 10, 2026.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was crossing in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford Focus just before 11:30 a.m. on Avenue 44, west of Jackson Street. 

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity will be released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office following notification of next of kin.

Officials stated that the driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. 

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
