[06-05-2026] San Diego County, CA – Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in North Park

A 62-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the North Park area of San Diego on Friday night, June 5, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 2600 block of El Cajon Boulevard near Hamilton Street. 

A 2020 Volkswagen Passat, traveling eastbound, struck the woman as she crossed from north to south. The victim was transported to a hospital by paramedics but later died from her injuries.

Authorities stated that driving under the influence was not a factor in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
