[05-31-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Two Critically Injured in Four-Car Crash in Hawthorne

One person was killed, and two others were critically injured following a four-vehicle collision in Hawthorne on Sunday morning, May 31, 2026.

According to the Hawthorne Police Department, the crash occurred just before 11:50 a.m. near the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue. 

Officers arriving at the scene found four vehicles with significant damage and multiple injured occupants. Two people had to be extricated from one of the vehicles by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.

Four individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. One victim, later identified as 42-year-old April C., was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Two other victims remain in extremely critical condition.

Hawthorne police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
