Four family members, including three children, were injured in a crash in Yuba County on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a pickup truck left the roadway and overturned on Camp Far West Road east of Wintun Way.
Authorities reported that the vehicle was carrying three children, ages 3, 5, and 8, all of whom were properly restrained at the time of the crash.
The mother, riding in the front passenger seat and not wearing a seat belt, suffered the most serious injuries. The children were reported to have minor injuries and were being evaluated by medical personnel.
All occupants were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
Investigators stated that the family had spent the day at a nearby lake and was returning to the Sacramento area when the crash occurred. The identity of the arrested driver has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
