[05-30-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Multiple Vehicle Crashes Block Lanes on Eastbound Highway 50 Near SR-99

Multiple car crashes temporarily blocked lanes on eastbound Highway 50 near State Route 99 in midtown Sacramento on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle crashed into the center divider for unknown reasons and came to a stop in the lanes. The stopped vehicle led to multiple collisions as other cars struck it.

One person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Multiple lanes were temporarily closed while authorities cleared debris from the roadway.

All lanes have since reopened. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the collisions.
