Three people sustained major injuries after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed north of State Highway 18 in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Friday morning, May 29, 2026.
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the crash was reported around 11:12 a.m. on Highway 18 between Apple Valley Road and Stoddard Wells Road.
Authorities stated that a silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Am crossed into the opposing lanes, nearly striking multiple vehicles, then left the roadway and crashed into large boulders.
Emergency responders transported all three occupants to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident. The AVPD continues to investigate the crash.
