[05-30-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Person in Motorized Scooter Killed in Crash With Vehicle in Citrus Heights

A person riding a motorized scooter was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Citrus Heights on Saturday morning, May 30, 2026.

According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:20 a.m. on Sylvan Road north of Greenback Lane. 

Multiple 911 calls reported the collision, and officers arriving at the scene found the scooter rider with significant injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities stated that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the collision. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The investigation remains ongoing.
