[05-27-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Man Fatally Struck By Car on Stockton Blvd. Near Fruitridge Rd.

A man was killed after being struck by a car in Sacramento on Wednesday morning, May 27, 2026.

According to authorities, officers responded to the incident shortly after 4:00 a.m. on Stockton Boulevard near Fruitridge Road. First responders provided lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials stated that the driver involved remained at the scene and that DUI does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. 

The circumstances leading up to the incident have not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
