[05-16-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-15 in Rancho Bernardo

A motorcyclist was killed following a crash on Interstate 15 in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego County, early Saturday morning, May 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 12:38 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 15 north of Camino del Norte.

Authorities stated that the motorcycle rear-ended a pickup truck, causing the rider to be thrown onto the roadway in the fast lane. The driver of the pickup truck reported the crash to authorities.

Officials have not confirmed whether the motorcyclist died at the scene or later at a hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing.
