A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a vehicle in the El Cerrito area, San Diego County, on Friday afternoon, May 15, 2026.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and 56th Street.
Authorities stated that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard when the driver of a 2019 Toyota sedan made a left turn directly into the rider’s path. The motorcycle collided with the front passenger side of the vehicle.
Paramedics transported the rider to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The 22-year-old woman driving the Toyota sustained minor injuries.
Officials stated that alcohol was not considered a factor in the collision.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
