[05-08-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Westwood

A woman in her late 70s was killed following a hit-and-run crash in the Westwood area of Los Angeles on Friday night, May 8, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident was reported around 10:10 p.m. on Wilshire Boulevard at Malcolm Avenue.

Authorities stated that the woman was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling southwest on Wilshire Boulevard. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials reported that the driver fled the area following the incident. A description of the vehicle involved was not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
