[05-03-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Man and Child Killed, Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Playa del Rey

A man and a 1-year-old child were killed, and a woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Playa del Rey, Los Angeles County, early Sunday morning, May 3, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched at around 4:34 a.m. on 6800 Vista Del Mar Lane, just south of Culver Boulevard.

Authorities stated that the three victims were inside a vehicle when the collision occurred. A man, believed to be around 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman of a similar age and a 1-year-old child were transported to a hospital in critical condition, where the child was later pronounced dead.

Officials reported that the suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a white Jeep. The suspect was last seen running northbound on Vista Del Mar.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
