[04-30-2026] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Critically Injured In Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash on SR-160

One person sustained major injuries in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 160 near Sherman Island Road in Sacramento County on Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento office, the collision occurred around 3:08 p.m. along a rural stretch of the highway. Officials believe it was a head-on crash.

One individual sustained critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital for treatment. A second person suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ground ambulance.
