[04-24-2026] Monterey County, CA – 35-Year-Old Man Killed in Head-On Crash in King City

A 35-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision in King City, Monterey County, on Friday evening, April 24, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash occurred on Metz Road, north of Spreckels Road.

Officials reported that a Ford Fusion traveling southbound swerved into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram. Both vehicles caught fire following the impact.

The driver of the Ford Fusion, identified as Rigoberto M., was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
