[04-15-2026] San Francisco County, CA – Two Injured in Crash Inside Yerba Buena Tunnel on I-80

Two people were injured in a traffic collision on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 6:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 inside the Yerba Buena Tunnel.

Authorities stated that a white sedan and a pickup truck were found disabled in the roadway following the collision. 

Investigators reported that the sedan had been seen traveling at a high rate of speed alongside another vehicle prior to the crash. The pickup truck did not appear to be involved in that activity.

Two individuals were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. No arrests were reported at the time.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
