A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a vehicle at an intersection in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at around 4:30 p.m. at East 53rd Street and Compton Avenue.
Authorities stated that the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Compton Avenue while a vehicle was traveling eastbound on 53rd Street when the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and landed on the roadway. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
