[03-29-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed, Multiple Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 215 Freeway

One person was killed, and multiple others were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash on the 215 Freeway in Riverside on Sunday night, March 29, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on the northbound 215 Freeway near Eucalyptus Avenue.

Authorities reported that two adults and two babies were trapped inside one of the vehicles, which was severely damaged in the collision. Emergency responders used extrication tools to remove the occupants from the wreckage.

All four family members were transported to the hospital for treatment. It was not immediately clear whether the person who died was one of the adults or the children.

All northbound lanes of the freeway were closed following the crash and were expected to remain shut down for several hours.
