[02-11-2026] Sonoma County, CA – Woman Killed, Two Others Hospitalized After BMW Rolls Off Highway 101

A woman was killed, and two others were hospitalized with major injuries after their vehicle rolled off Highway 101 near Petaluma, Sonoma County, on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026. 

California Highway Patrol responded to the crash at around 8:45 p.m. just south of Petaluma Boulevard South.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver, traveling south in a BMW, lost control of the vehicle. The BMW veered off the highway and rolled over, throwing both passengers out of the car. One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased woman after notifying her family. The two other women were transported to the hospital with major injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation.
