[01-22-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – One Pedestrian Killed, Another Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle in Stockton

One pedestrian was killed, and another was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Stockton on Thursday evening, January 22, 2026.

According to the Stockton Police Department, at around 7:19 p.m., officers were responding to the scene in the 900 block of N El Dorado Street and stumbled upon a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians. 

Authorities stated that both pedestrians were taken to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead, and the other is being treated for injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a man, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police also indicated that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the incident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
