[01-02-2026] Bicyclist Killed After Collision With Semi-Truck on Osgood Road in Fremont.webpA bicyclist was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in the 44000 block of Osgood Road in Fremont on Friday afternoon, January 2, 2026.

According to the Fremont Police Department, officers responded just before 12:20 p.m. to reports of a semi-truck colliding with a bicyclist. 

Authorities said the truck was traveling northbound on Osgood Road and had stopped in the two-way center left turn lane while preparing to turn into a business parking lot. 

As the truck began turning, the bicyclist approached and was struck by the front driver’s side of the semi-truck. The bicyclist was found injured at the scene and later succumbed to their injuries. The victim’s identity was not released.

Police said the driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities noted that drug or alcohol impairment was not suspected to be a factor in the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing.
