A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle at Sedco Boulevard and Mission Trail in Wildomar on Saturday morning, December 27, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision at approximately 7:33 a.m.
Upon arrival, deputies found a male pedestrian in the roadway with significant injuries. Life-saving measures were attempted before the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities said the Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Team assumed the investigation. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the collision. The identity of the decedent has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
