A man was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Clovis early Sunday evening, December 7, 2025.
According to the Clovis Police Department, officers responded shortly after 5:00 p.m. to a reported collision involving a pedestrian near Villa Avenue, just north of Shaw Avenue.
Investigators said the man was crossing the roadway outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The driver remained at the scene. Police said the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol were not suspected. Shaw and San Jose avenues were closed as police continued their investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
