A multi-vehicle crash involving four to five vehicles closed the number one lane of northbound Interstate 5 lane north of Fort Tejon Road in Kern County on Monday afternoon, November 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at approximately 4:45 p.m. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, while officers implemented traffic control measures to slow down vehicles and prevent further collisions.
CHP reported that visibility in the area was limited due to fog. Authorities urged drivers to slow down, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, avoid weaving through traffic, and remain patient. CHP noted that aggressive driving in such conditions could lead to further crashes and delays. Traffic was already heavy in the area.
It was not immediately known whether any injuries had been reported. The investigation is ongoing.
