One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash on Highway 154 near Cachuma Lake early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025.
The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. west of Paradise Road, where the Santa Barbara County and Santa Barbara City Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a sedan and an SUV obstructing the roadway. The highway was fully closed for the investigation.
The male driver of the sedan was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries, while the sedan’s passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol estimated that Highway 154 would remain closed for two hours during the investigation. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
