A 33-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in San Diego’s Midway District on Friday night, November 14, 2025.
San Diego Police Department officers responded at 11:11 p.m. to Hancock Street and Camino Del Rio West, where they learned the pedestrian allegedly ran east across the intersection of Camino Del Rio and Hancock against the red don’t walk signal.
He was struck by a 55-year-old woman driving a BMW north on Camino Del Rio, who was approaching a green traffic light, according to SDPD Officer David O’Brien.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said alcohol was not a factor for the driver.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
