A motorcyclist was struck and killed by a driver on Highway 101 in San Jose on Monday night, November 10, 2025.
The motorcyclist was traveling south at about 8:45 p.m. when the motorcycle’s rear wheel began to fishtail back and forth, causing the bike to overturn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials said they do not know why the motorcycle fishtailed. The rider came to a stop and was then fatally struck by a driver in a Kia.
The victim was identified as a 43-year-old man from Gustine (Merced County). The Kia overturned, and the driver sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
