[11-15-2025] Driver Arrested for DUI After Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 395 in HesperiaA 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck in Hesperia early Saturday morning, November 15, 2025.

The crash occurred around 12:42 a.m. on U.S. Highway 395, just south of Phelan Road/Main Street. 

The collision involved a white Ford 4×4 pickup truck and a semi-truck hauling a trailer. The pickup came to rest partially off the highway with visible damage to its passenger side.

The driver of the Ford, identified as Martin B., was arrested at the scene. According to arrest records, Barbosa was booked on three misdemeanor charges: VC23152(A) – DUI Alcohol, VC23152(B) – DUI Alcohol with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08 Percent or Higher, and VC14601.2(A) – Driving on a Suspended License Related to DUI. He is no longer in custody, and a court date has not yet been released.

No major injuries were reported, and the driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The Hesperia Police Department is handling the investigation.
