[10-27-2025] Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Collision with Vehicle on Fourth Avenue in Chula VistaA 66-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Fourth Avenue in Chula Vista on Monday night, October 27, 2025.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded around 8:50 p.m. to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision near the 100 block of Fourth Avenue.

Police said the driver, a 58-year-old woman, was behind the wheel of a white northbound Scion TC when she collided with the pedestrian, who was walking from the west to the east curbline between two controlled intersections.

Paramedics performed lifesaving measures on the victim, who was then transported to a trauma center with significant injuries. The pedestrian’s condition was unclear.

The driver of the Scion remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The cause of the collision has not been determined, though alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been a factor.
