[10-23-2025] One Killed, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at County Road 102 and County Road 17 in WoodlandOne person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 102 and County Road 17 in Woodland on Thursday morning, October 23, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 6:30 a.m. Investigators said a Toyota sedan was traveling southbound on County Road 102 when it failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Kia sedan that was crossing the intersection on County Road 17.

CHP spokesperson Rodney Fitzhugh said one of the occupants in the Kia died from their injuries. The driver of the Toyota and two other passengers in the Kia sustained major injuries and were transported to a hospital. The deceased individual was taken to the Yolo County Coroner’s Office. It remains unclear whether the person who died was the driver or a passenger of the Kia.

Authorities said it is still unknown what caused the crash or whether weather conditions such as fog played a role. The investigation remains ongoing.
