Two people were hospitalized after a driver struck multiple parked vehicles in a retail parking lot on Cochran Street in Simi Valley on Monday afternoon, October 20, 2025.
According to the Simi Valley Police Department, officers responded around 1:41 p.m. to the 2800 block of Cochran Street following reports of a collision in the lot. The shopping center includes Sprouts Farmers Market and Dr. Conkey’s Candy and Coffee.
An initial investigation determined that the driver likely suffered a medical emergency before crashing into four unoccupied parked vehicles. One of the parked cars struck its owner, who was standing nearby, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The person was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver was also taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity. Police closed the westbound lane of Cochran Street between Sycamore Drive and Colonial Way for about an hour during the investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
