Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 78 near Coachella Canal Road in Imperial County, on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
According to authorities the collision was reported at around 6:26 p.m. One of the vehicles became fully engulfed in flames, blocking the highway in both directions for more than three hours. Three individuals were transported to local hospitals with various injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
