[09-28-2025] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed in Fiery Head-On Crash on Carbon Canyon Road in Chino Hills

A head-on collision on Carbon Canyon Road in Chino Hills left one person dead and temporarily closed the road in both directions on Sunday morning, September 28, 2025.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred shortly before 5:50 a.m. Two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided, and one of the vehicles caught fire, becoming fully engulfed in flames. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carbon Canyon Road remained closed from Chino Hills Parkway to Feldspar Drive for several hours while authorities responded. The roadway, which connects Brea in Orange County with Chino Hills, reopened by around 7:00 p.m., according to Brea police.
