A 63-year-old man was killed after being struck from behind by a car while riding a bicycle on Hanford Armona Road just east of 16th Avenue in Kings County on Monday evening, September 15, 2025.
According to police, the driver, a female operating a Subaru Forester, was traveling westbound at approximately 55 mph when she struck the bicyclist. The impact ejected the man from the bicycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that the man was not wearing a helmet.
The driver is cooperating with the investigation, and police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
