INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[09-14-2025] Sonoma County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed, Minivan Driver Seriously Injured in Head-On Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1

A motorcyclist was killed and the driver of a minivan sustained major injuries in a head-on, three-vehicle collision in rural Sonoma County on Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 1 north of Valley Ford Road.

The motorcyclist was traveling south when they crossed into the northbound lane while attempting to pass slower drivers, colliding with an oncoming minivan. The impact ejected the motorcyclist, who was then struck by another vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the minivan was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries and was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of driving under the influence. CHP stated it is unclear if the motorcyclist was under the influence.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision and asked anyone with information to contact CHP’s Santa Rosa office.
