A 40-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding an electric bike near Pine Ridge Avenue and Jicarilla Road in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday night, September 6, 2025.
According to family and emergency dispatch, Charles K. of Apple Valley was riding his e-bike when a dark-colored SUV struck him and fled the scene. The victim remained in the roadway for approximately 20–30 minutes before a bystander found him and called 911.
Emergency personnel transported the victim to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he was treated for multiple injuries, including facial trauma, broken teeth, a broken nose, and leg injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.
Authorities said the vehicle involved was a smaller dark-colored SUV, which sped away from the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
