A 65-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in Madera County on Friday afternoon, August 29, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 12 and Road 30.
The driver, a woman, told officers she was traveling west on Avenue 12 when she lost control of the vehicle, hit a ditch, and flipped.
The man, who was thrown from the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene. His identity has not been released. The woman suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
