A pedestrian was fatally struck by a big rig on Interstate 5 near Riverside Avenue in Anderson on Sunday night, December 29, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. when the pedestrian walked or ran into the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 and was struck by the big rig.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined.
The CHP is investigating the incident, and no additional details are available at this time.
