[12-28-2025] One Killed, Multiple Injured After Fiery Crash on Highway 395 Near AdelantoOne person was killed, and several others were injured following a fiery two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 395 south of Shadow Mountain Road near Adelanto in San Bernardino County, on Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2025.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, crews responded to a collision involving fire and multiple injuries at approximately 12:11 p.m. 

Firefighters arrived to find a Land Rover SUV fully engulfed in flames and immediately began fire suppression and medical treatment. 

Authorities said six patients were involved in the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others sustained critical injuries and were transported by medical helicopters to local trauma centers, while three additional patients suffered less severe injuries.

Officials said two bystanders assisted in removing a male occupant from the burning vehicle before emergency personnel arrived. A SigAlert was issued at approximately 1:04 p.m. for both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 395, with closures expected to last at least one hour.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
