A three-vehicle collision in Sacramento County’s Vineyard area left multiple people injured on Saturday morning, December 28, 2024.
The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Florin Road near Eagles Nest Road, according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Battalion Chief Parker Wilbourn.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after the collision, which involved three damaged vehicles, one of which caught fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle and was extricated by rescue teams. Three individuals sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The California Highway Patrol is handling the case and has not released additional details.
