A woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision in the parking lot of The Plant Shopping Center in Panorama City, Los Angeles, early Friday morning, December 26, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:55 a.m. when an unidentified vehicle entered the shopping center from Van Nuys Boulevard and struck a pedestrian.
Police said the driver failed to stop and continued traveling eastbound through the shopping center. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as Marlene B., 40. Authorities said the driver involved has not been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
