A motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Marin and Florida streets in Vallejo late Tuesday night, December 24, 2024.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:20 p.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Marin Street attempted to make a left turn onto Florida Street. The pickup truck driver reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office.
Police stated that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision. The Silverado driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
