Three people were hospitalized with minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Cathedral City on Monday afternoon, December 23, 2024.
The Cathedral City Police Department responded to the crash at approximately 2:10 p.m. at Cathedral Canyon Drive and Ortega Road.
Two occupants were able to exit their vehicles without assistance, while a third required extrication by Cathedral City Fire Department personnel.
According to investigators, the collision occurred when one vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic from northbound Cathedral Canyon Drive. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The injured individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The investigation is ongoing.
